Trina Lynn Short
Hi there! I hope you enjoyed my ACME, Page Fillers, Inc. page. If you haven't come from there, click here to see it. Yes, that is not a real company, but I sometimes think it should be. After all, words are far better than pictures any day. :-)
To know about me, it helps to know what I like. Here is a list of some of my favorite things in the world. Apart from my family that is. They mean more to me than anything else. If you want to know them, wait until they get their own web pages. This one is MINE!
I love working on my other webpages. Three of them are related to my favorite TV series, Doctor Who. The others are related to my work and leisure time.
Writing fanfiction (typically Doctor Who) is another interest of mine. Some of my stories have been published in webzines and paper fanzines.
- Decision Time is a Turlough story I wrote for the first Dreamtime Magazine.
- Doctor Who and the Flower Planet is a First Doctor and Susan story for the same issue.
- The Doctor Saves the Universe, Again is a Seventh Doctor story that I wrote for Vermin Publishing's Triskadecalog, which is sadly offline at this time.
- Truth is Stranger than Fiction is a Seventh Doctor story where he meets a future President of the United States. This is another Dreamtime submission.
- Ghost in the Machine was originally published in the first Perfect Timing. This fanzine is now out of print, but you might find friends who purchased the charity 'zine and borrow it from them. If you'd like to make a donation to FSID, the Foundation for the Study of Infant Deaths, click here.
- PROBE's Adventure with the Man from Trion is a Turlough story with Liz Shaw and her Preternatural Research Bureau. It is part of the February Dreamtime. The horrid artwork was by me.
- What Goes Around Comes Around is a Seventh Doctor story in which he saves the world... in a boomerang competition. It too is in the same issue above. The gorgeous artwork was by Elsa Frohman.
- The Reluctant Wizard is another Turlough short story, which was part of a World Story Arc concerning the planet Fiorenza. It was part of the final Dreamtime issue.
- Miracle on 23rd Street is a cloyingly sweet Christmas tale starring the Seventh Doctor and Mel. It was also in the last Dreamtime.
- My Kind of Town is the result of a Dare where I had to write a Doc8/Grace story. I was never told they had to actually MEET in the story. I was also never told I couldn't add some other characters in (such as the Seventh Doctor, Chris, and Roz). (I was told I couldn't kill off Grace, but nothing was said about not hurting her...)
- Dodgy Deals is not available online but can be found in the fanzine The 13 Crimes of Doctor Who.
Featuring Sabalom Glitz and Mel, it's loosely based on a roleplay we once
performed on IRC (with me at Glitz and Carson Maynard as Mel - he gave me
permission to use some of his dialogue - thanks Carson!).
- The Cats from Outer Space is another fanzine submission. Featuring Turlough on Trion, it's published in The Cat Who Walked Through Time, a charity 'zine where the proceeds go to helping feral cats in Cincinnati, OH. It's a bit of a silly story, but it's my tribute to the Disney movie with the similar name.
- Tee Time is
from another charity fanzine: Missing Pieces. It's a bit of a break
from my usual fanfiction because this story features The Dominie and Alice
from the BBV audio adventures.
Proceeds from this fanzine went to the FSID,
which I've mentioned above.
I'm interested in a lot of other things, but don't have time to make my own webpages about them. So I'll link to other people's pages.
Well, now that you know so much about me, email me. :-)
