Daniel Callahan founded the Guide on September 10, 1996, two years to the day before his daughter, Deirdre, was born. He officially relinquished control of the site to Robert Smith? on May 29, 1999.

Daniel considers Doctor Who's finest moments to be seasons 1, 2, 5, 7, 18 and 19. He has read only one Missing Adventure and heard nothing produced by Big Finish. Despite his massive illiteracy, he highly recommends the North American Doctor Who DVD releases, even if they don't have subtitles in French or Spanish.

Speaking of DVD's, his three year-old daughter, Deirdre, is obsessed with Spearhead from Space, and insists on watching "Doctor Who get sick" and the "Bad Guys come take him away". She also wonders why Doctor Who keeps saying, "Shoes!".

Hän myös opiskelee suomenkielta. (He also studies Finnish.)
